This unique and one of a kind interactive hands on program will provide all participants with rapid fire survival techniques and maneuvers when endangered by threatening fireground dynamics. This incredible course provides firefighters with rapid egress techniques whether they involve exiting structures or retreating to safe areas within them. Participants will be engaged in and taught rapid decision making survival methods individually as well as with their partners from the threats of flashover, disorientation, collapse, flame fronts and other fireground dynamics which can threaten their safety and survival.

This all encompassing seminar provides firefighters through all ranks a look into the overwhelming risks and inherent dangers of firefighting in today’s fire service. Lt. Mike Mason takes you into the realities of risk and its consequences in modern day firefighting. This complete program will enlighten you while providing you a detailed reality in surviving the fireground for your department and its members. Some of the most interesting areas to be covered will be, defining and committing to interior operations, fireground situational awareness, fireground survival policies, preventing and surviving Maydays, Staffing and fireground survival, fighting fires in conventional and light weight construction, fuel loads and turbulent smoke behaviors, interior operations relating to room orientation, tactical air management and practices on interior firefighting, recognizing the attack progress, establishing exit strategies and emergency evacuations, preparing for survival and Maydays while commanding stressful fireground events are just some of the many areas covered in this dynamic program.

The need for the eyes and ears of individual firefighters as well as Rapid Intervention Companies in rescuing one of their own is now and should be a priority for every fire ground situation.  The numerous risks faced by today’s fire service dictate that well trained and skilled firefighters be available to respond and perform the unthinkable in rescuing one of their own. This 2-day hand’s on interactive program provides some of the most intensive disciplines in firefighter rescue and survival. Participants enrolled in this program will receive and be able to take back with them the solid basics as well as the most advanced up to date techniques and maneuvers in rapid intervention for the dynamic fireground. No firefighter engaged in firefighting should be without this life saving program taught by some of the country’s most experienced national instructors in this field of discipline.

This intense five-day 40 hour course provides students with the solid foundation and skills needed to work as a member of a rapid intervention company operation on the fire ground.
